President's Message | December 2025
When I was asked to write this inspirational New Year email, I’ll be honest—I gasped! Those of you who know me know I’m a “short, sweet, to-the-point, give-me-bullet-points” kind of person. So this is definitely outside my comfort zone… but here goes.
It’s an exciting time to be part of this organization as we prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of FleetPros in 2026. I’m not usually one to sit and study historical timelines or wonder about people I’ve never met—but I absolutely want to acknowledge and recognize the path they forged for all of us has not gone unnoticed!
Nearly 50 years ago, a group of fleet professionals in Colorado had the groundbreaking idea to gather and share their experiences. It sounds simple today, but imagine doing that without modern technology, social media, or the endless communication tools we have at our fingertips. What they accomplished was not only impressive for their time—it was visionary. They chose to get involved… and look where that spark has brought us: five states, outstanding chapter events, the national FleetCon conference, the creation of Shop Talk during a global pandemic, and the Fleet Management 101/201 Series designed to expand involvement and share knowledge across every level of fleet operations. I am sure these past visionaries would be astonished with where this organization has led the future of not only FleetPros but the industry. Jaw dropping results if I do say so myself!
Today, fleet operations are more complex than ever. With overwhelming amounts of technology and data, it’s easy to feel buried. I imagine that 50 years ago their challenges felt just as daunting—staffing, facilities, budgets, vehicle changes… the same core issues we face today, just in a different form. These challenges are exactly what led those early professionals to build this organization, and every person who has stepped up over the last five decades has shaped FleetPros into what it is now. And we’re not done. Our national and local boards are having the same conversations those founders once had: How do we grow this organization to meet the needs of tomorrow’s fleet professionals? As part of this, we are already exploring several future initiatives—expanding training programs, strengthening multi-state collaboration, enhancing digital resources, and identifying new opportunities to support fleet teams at every level. We are also looking at how to expand our membership footprint and create new pathways for leadership development to support the next generation of professionals.
In their spirit, my inspiration for you this year is simple: get involved and see where it takes you. Your involvement will directly shape future initiatives we are planning—whether that’s new certification opportunities, expanded educational series, stronger mentorship networks, or more robust regional events. What we build next will be driven by the needs and voices of our members of today to lead into the future needs of tomorrow.
The fleet industry has evolved and so has FleetPros by becoming a leader in professional development, learning opportunities, and peer connections. None of that is possible without professionals—at every level—choosing to participate. This industry has given me a rewarding career that I love, helped me grow both personally and professionally, and allowed me to support the organizations I serve and volunteer with. Every time you get involved, someone in your shop—a technician, admin, or supervisor—benefits from your knowledge and engagement.
I am humbled, honored, and incredibly proud to serve as the Arizona Chair and your National President during the 50th Anniversary of FleetPros in 2026. Thank you to everyone who helped build this organization and thank you to those who will carry it forward. Through training, scholarships, professional development, and events, we continue setting the standard for communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing in the fleet industry. Our members bring deep expertise, and our vendor partners provide essential support—together, we create a full circle of resources for fleets of any size.
I envision a future where FleetPros continues to grow, expanding beyond our current five states, and one day someone will write about our investments and how they shaped that generation of professionals and fleets.
Now that I’ve finished more coffee than I probably should admit to, I hope I’ve inspired you to get involved, take advantage of everything FleetPros offers, and help shape our organization during this milestone year and beyond.
Here’s to a year of growth, connection, and celebrating 50 years of FleetPros!
Thank you again for selecting me as your national president.
