| Position Description: | IVGID IS NOW HIRING: MECHANIC I Join our team and help keep our fleet and specialty equipment running safely and efficiently! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman level Mechanic to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks under the supervision of a Lead Mechanic. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing District vehicles and specialty and miscellaneous equipment at all District facilities. What You’ll Do: • Diagnose, maintain, repair, and overhaul vehicles and equipment. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues using strong diagnostic skills. • Maintain accurate service records and documentation. • Deliver excellent customer service while working collaboratively with staff. • Work on a wide variety of fleet and specialty equipment. What We’re Looking For: • Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and recordkeeping skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of a two-year mechanic trade school or equivalent mechanic certification; OR two years of related hands-on experience repairing and maintaining a variety of equipment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Requirements: • Valid Driver’s License required • ASE Certifications are a plus! Schedule Includes: • Evenings • Weekends • Holidays • Overtime as assigned Pay Range: $34.43 – $48.21/hour DOE/DOQ Includes a fantastic benefits package and recreation privileges!
